The problem of failure detection of table low-speed centrifuge

Information sources: | Release date: 2018-04-12 10:23:03 | Browse volume:195

We often explain that the centrifuge is the most commonly used experimental instrument in the laboratory. The desktop low-speed centrifuge can further study biochemistry and separate a large amount of substances. The fault detection and cleaning methods for tabletop low-speed centrifuges are now recommended as follows:
  1. The main power indicator light is on. At this time, check the wear of the carbon brushes. If the wear of the carbon brushes exceeds one third of the total, replace the carbon brushes in time.
  2. When the main power indicator light is off, check whether the indicator fuse and the indoor power distribution board fuse are blown, and check whether the power cord is in good contact. If the fuse is blown, replace the fuse and keep the circuit open.
  3. Check the vacuum pump gauge and the oil pressure indication value. If the oil pressure is too high and the host cannot start, it is necessary to check whether the oil passages are blocked, especially whether the throttle orifice is unblocked. If not, clean it to make it unblocked.
  4. Bearing damage or rolling obstruction, lack of oil in the bearing or more dirt in the bearing, which causes increased frictional resistance, and the motor cannot reach the rated speed. The bearing should be cleaned or replaced in time.
  5. There is a layer of oxide on the surface of the commutator, and even if it is burnt to be uneven or the brush does not match the outer edge of the commutator, the speed can also decrease. The commutator and brush should be cleaned to make good contact.
  6. If the rotor coil is short-circuited or disconnected, it can be checked with a multimeter, and the coil will be re-wound by the medical centrifuge. When the rotor is in use, the centrifuge tube may rupture, sample leakage, and the rotor may be damaged due to metal fatigue, overspeed, overstress, chemical corrosion, improper selection, unbalanced rotor in use, and temperature out of control.
  7. Clean the centrifuge cavity and rotor, and wipe dry the condensed water in the cavity.
  8. Open the door after use until the cavity returns to normal temperature.
  9. Equilibrate the sample before centrifugation.
  10. Pay attention to disinfection and sterilization after centrifugation.
  11. If necessary, pre-cool the rotor, maintenance and storage of the rotor, pay attention to protecting the counting ring at the bottom
